What is the commitment to play for Mustangs FHC
Upon accepting a position on a team players are committing to the full season. Perfect Performance Mustangs will have an outdoor Fall season (U10-U14 only), an indoor Winter season (U10-U19), and an outdoor Spring season (U10-U19). As Field Hockey is a team sport, teams can only be successful if all players attend practice and tournaments. Therefore, players accepting a position are expected to attend all practices and tournaments, and those who fail to do so may receive reduced playing time.
What uniforms are required?
Each new player will be expected to purchase a club uniform when they accept their spot on a Mustangs Team.
How many tournaments are played and where are they?
The number of tournaments played and locations will vary based on the team and season. To view the current schedule, visit the team page found in the navigation menu.
When are practices?
Practices will be held twice a week. There will be additional opportunities for Perfect Performance Mustangs players to participate in speed & agility, and strength and skills training throughout the week at our 8,400 sq ft indoor facility in Tysons Corner, VA. Times and days for practice vary based on the age group. During the outdoor seasons practices will be held local to McLean. Practices for the winter season will be held at the Dulles SportsPlex located in Sterling, VA.
What if a practice or tournament gets canceled?
If a practice or tournament is canceled refunds will NOT be issued by Perfect Performance Mustangs. We commit to certain payments up-front for every scheduled event (practices and tournaments), and many of our expenses are paid prior to the season.
What happens if my daughter gets injured or has a medical condition and cannot play part of the season?
The players’ status would be determined by her coaches, and a decision will be made as to whether the player can continue to be on a Mustangs team roster for a specific season. Regardless of the decision, no refunds will be given for any practices or tournaments missed due to health reasons.
